I called all over to find a place that would install a battery I buy from them. I was met with closed stores and sold out batteries until I reached Shawna at advance. She was helpful and said they had the battery I needed and would install it. I got a jump start and drove over. A gentleman helped me and I wish I could remember his name. He did not balk at having to go out in the cold and install my battery. I highly recommend this store.

Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
