I was having troubles with starting my car and was recommended by family members to go to Mavis due to their great experiences there and mine was anything but. I had my car towed their around 1 on a Friday afternoon. I spoke to C who in short told me that my car would be ready the next day. After completing a diagnostic test to see what the problem was, I was told that it would take about an hour and a half to replace my starter and that they buy their parts locally. He also told me that it would cost around $700-ish. He said that they would call me the next day when it was ready. I heard from no one.
Fast forward to Saturday afternoon, I speak to J who told me that it wouldn't be ready that day because they gotten the of my engine wrong. He says that it'll be ready no later than noon on Sunday and would cost $872. I was told that they would call me and update me. I didn't hear anything. I called Sunday morning and spoke to someone who said that they ordered the wrong starter and would take longer. I was told that they would call me with an update. I heard nothing. I called later that night for an update and they said that they just got the new part later that night and someone would call me with an update. No one called.
I call Monday morning and spoke to S. When I asked when would my car by ready, he said he didn't know. I called back and asked to speak to a manager, he put me on hold for a few minutes and told me it'd be ready by noon. I never spoke to the manager. He calls me a little after noon and told me that my car was done. I asked if they taken it for a test drive as this was told to me that they would do when the starter was installed. He sounded annoyed that I was asking but said that he would. He takes the car for a test and said that something was wrong with my brakes. Without my permission, they go in and check my breaks.
When I ask how much everything would cost, they said it would be over $1000 due to the change in starter parts! This experience was marked with incompetency, unprofessionalism, and poor communication. It was headache, stress, and drama that I didn't need or deserve. I was stuck in my house for four days with no transportation. What should have taken two days turned into four. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place to anyone or give them any business in the future.

Worst place EVER. The male that was there on Sunday 12/28/25 at 4pm light skinned with glasses was rude. I was only there five minutes and decided to leave. I was told by two customers that the people who worked there had been arguing all day. This is unacceptable as an establishment. I do not spend my money where I don’t feel welcomed!!!
