- MMMJ MailboxFeb 9, 20261.0I bought a 2019 330i xDrive M-Sport from CarMax and brought it to Fields BMW for a PAID inspection (and an oil change). It was still well within the 10 day return window at CarMax. Fields gave the car a clean bill of health and said how everything is great and all it needs is an in cabin air filter. Naturally, I kept the car. About 2 weeks later, I decided to do fluids (transmission, front and back differentials and transfer case) at a local BMW shop. Before doing anything, they brought me into the shop to show me under the car. The oil filter housing is leaking. Engine mount is leaking. Rear differential seal is leaking. Turbo is leaking. There was so much baked on fluids and oil that the tech said it had to have been leaking for many, many months. Coolant was caked all over from the bottom. A repair bill of $8200. Fields BMW didn't do any inspection. They set me up for financial ruin.
