This public EVgo charging station in Norridge provides fast charging for all major electric vehicles. Located on 4223 North Harlem Avenue, it's near Kohl's, Potbelly Sandwich Shop. The site offers 24/7 access, is ADA-compliant, and supports both CCS and CHAdeMO connectors. While charging, drivers can visit nearby shops or grab food within walking distance. Customers can use the EVgo app to check charger availability, track sessions, and view Time-of-Use pricing where available. It's a convenient and reliable option for both local drivers and those passing through the area.
This charging station could be such a great spot but I would like to say it could be improved. I enjoy the convenient access, I truly do wish there was 4 charging stations instead of 3 since there is space. I also want it to be more maintained!! There’s always one that isn’t working ,and we can all tell which ones are charging faster which again I will say, convenient but it wouldn’t be an issue of progression if there was more options to charge and better quality of services. This is a great option to wait for though, they sure do always have 1 box that is ready to charge. Also I believe I always see people charging more with the CCS charger, not to put CHAdeMO chargers out of business but i do have an electric car and come to this spot regularly seeing people use CCS.

Great location, easy to find, however was a lil bit of a wait... but still got the job done...

It works great when it works. I had a lot of issues charging at this place when it first opened. Something was always up. But over time the issues smoothed out.
However, the recent pricing changes made charging at EVGo not ideal. The off-peak pricing is close to Tesla’s peak pricing. I rather just drive to O’Hare or Rosemont to supercharge instead.
