- MMMikeMar 31, 20261.0I went to Grease Monkey because it’s conveniently located next to Menards and had good reviews, but my experience was the complete opposite. Shortly after getting an oil change there, all of my oil leaked out onto my brick paver driveway. The damage was so bad the stain couldn’t be removed, and I ended up spending over $1,500 to replace sections of my pavers. I took my car to a Cadillac dealership, and they told me the issue was caused by an improperly installed oil filter. Not only was it the wrong filter for my vehicle, but it was also completely loose. They were honestly surprised my car was even still running—there wasn’t a single drop of oil left in it. This could have easily led to catastrophic engine damage. What should have been a routine oil change turned into a costly and stressful situation. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend going somewhere else or making sure they seriously address their quality control. This level of carelessness is unacceptable.
