- NLNadya LebedevaJan 30, 20264.0It took a few minutes to get someone to help me, even though there were only 2 customers and 3 employees. However, it wasn't a long wait, and once I had someone to help, he was very courteous and polite. I had bought a battery, and they installed it on the spot for me, which is helpful when you're on your way to the office and don't necessarily want to get your hands dirty. In and out in 30 minutes WITH a brand new installed battery - I'd say that's pretty close to perfect. Thank you!

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
