- YPys park3 days ago2.0Disappointing Finish and Safety Concerns After Windshield Replacement I had my windshield replaced at the Safelite Morton Grove location today (Jan 10, 2026). While cleaning up some black adhesive residue left on my white vehicle, I discovered two serious issues that should have been caught during a quality check: Safety Issue: The bolts holding the wiper arms were left loose. This is a major safety concern as the wipers could fail or detach during operation. Damaged Parts: One of the wiper arm bolt caps was reinstalled even though the internal clips were broken. While Safelite advertises a "Nationwide Lifetime Warranty," a customer shouldn't have to waste their valuable time returning to the shop to fix basic assembly errors that should have been verified by the technician before the car was handed over. It is frustrating to deal with the added stress of checking and correcting a professional's work. I hope this location improves its quality control process so other customers don't have the same experience.

There is also a Taco Bell, choose.your adventure. I did not pull out until 4:30p... this isn't "a couple of hours"... this eats up your afternoon.

However I got a call saying the job was finished, paid online, and was told the car would be left in the lot for pick up after hours. I get there 4 hours later to find my car inside the shop. A second technician says they can’t get their tablet to finalize the calibration process …. But he swears it’s done… but I can’t take it yet… and then he got rude at me for expressing my confusion.
