Some people have tight budgets especially senior citizens. It's possible any extension to the rental may put your bank account become overdrawn because the extension is not calculated on actual return and paid at that point. It's done immediately as soon as you say you need a longer time not knowing an exact date when your own car will be totally repaired. The car was ok, got me from point A to point B. Home to work or doctors or groceries store.
