  I was told to use National next time. I did not choose Alamo. the airline selected Alamo Rent A car.

  We were in a bit of a mess with flights and were not at all confident our original flight would take off. So, we decided to see if we get get an earlier flight part way, rent a car, and drive the rest of the way. Sure enough, Alamo's web site showed cars were available in Moline. So, we changed our flights, reserved the car on Alamo's web site, and boarded our flight about an hour later. We landed in Moline and went straight to the counter and were told that there are no cars available... "We called you and left a message" Not very helpful when you are on a flight... This left us with 180 miles to go and no way to do that at 10:00 at night. "You can get a taxi", we were told. We ended up going down the line of car rental companies and all that was available was an EV for over 3 times the price with a different company. What an absolute mess. A reservation should mean something!

  Rented a car friday for one day and return time was known to be after closing time and you still are trying to charge an extra day. Even though you have the car in your possesion you think you need more money because you choose to be open shorter hours on a Saturday!!! I wont ever use you again
