  This place deserves 0 stars - and that's being generous. Despite the numerous warnings I received about this location, I had no choice but to rent from them on two different occasions. Unfortunately, both were awful. The first time, they gave me a vehicle that made it no less than FIVE MILES down the road before it lost power steering and the check engine light came on. When I called they said they were sorry but they were closing for the evening and it was too late to do anything. Luckily, a very nice employee offered to stay late and come pick me up, but the courtesy did not make up for the issue. Second time, I made a reservation for a 12 PM pick-up. I tried calling around 11 AM to ask if I could come early and no one picked up the phone for what felt like an hour. I waited until noon and showed up and there was only one employee helping someone else claiming they had no vehicles available. I figured they did not have a reservation and figured since I had one, I was okay. While I was waiting another woman came in behind me and said this was her THIRD time coming in trying to get a car for a reservation. The EXTREMELY RUDE employee, claimed despite all the reservations, they had no vehicles available. The entire lot needed oil changes and they wouldn't have vehicles until 5 PM but couldn't even guarantee. It is now 8 PM and I still do not have a vehicle. I then asked if they could drop one off to my location in town from another location and got "we are understaffed" so there was zero effort to make things right. I am now stuck in a town 6 hours from home for work without a way to get anywhere since Enterprise is the only location in Mattoon. This place is a huge disappointment and if you can avoid renting from here, please do.

  Good selection of vehicles, reasonable rates and the staff made every effort to accommodate me on my recent trip!

  Great experience. Pick-up and drop-off were fast and easy. Car was nice and clean. Corbin was super friendly and easy to talk to.

  Morgan at the mattoon location was so helpful. She help me find the perfect vehicle to rent for me and my family. She answered all my questions and help me understand all the policies and insurance options. Definitely will be renting a vehicle again when we need it!!
