  They are a shop that charges as much as they are legally allowed to charge Then they will have the audacity to speak fresh with you, all the while thinking that they can get away with it.

  All you have to know about this shop is in the way they reply to one star reviews. Update: As you can see, Jim is very emotional and doesn’t like it when people are honest about their experiences. Since he asked so nicely, here’s the details about my most recent visit. I made an “appointment” for Friday for a minor noise I was mildly concerned about. Mind you, this is not really an appointment, but merely a placeholder for the day where they will *maybe* get around to looking at your car. Had it there by 7:30, told them I needed it by the end of the day when they asked. No communication all day Friday. Called them at 3pm for a status update. Was told my car had JUST been put up on the lift and they’d let me know. They called back at 4:30 to say they hadn’t found anything. I said great, I’ll come pick it up. They said they wanted to keep it until the next day and look again. I insisted that it was okay if they didn’t find anything. Heard nothing all day Saturday until 3:34 when I get a diagnostic report texted to me. Called back to find out they close at 3:30. And are closed on Sunday, of course. So now I’m without a car for the entire weekend. The report listed multiple serious issues that they somehow magically found in those 24 hours. This “professional” report used terminology that must be akin to mechanic slang. Parts of my car were described as “blasted” and other very specific wording, as well as including photos so blurry I couldn’t tell if it was part of my car or the broad side of a barn. (I’d love to share those with you all, but it seems that I no longer have access to my diagnostic report. Jim must’ve deleted it during his man-trum). Called back at 11:30 this morning (it’s Monday for those keeping track) and was told that they couldn’t fix my car at all because “they have too many cars here and they’re just too busy”. So I could just come get it. Guess those serious issues must not be that serious then. 🤷‍♀️ When I arrived to pick it up, Jim confronted me and asked why I am slandering him online. He sees nothing wrong with his responses to the one-star reviews, including the ones where he calls people liars, mocks them for being a single mom on a budget, or blasts their financial status for the world to see. (Go scroll through and see for yourself). He also admitted that because of my one star review, that was why he decided not to work on my car anymore. You’re right, Jim. I have gone to your fine establishment for years, but this is the cherry on top of what has been several crappy experiences in a row. Have the day you deserve.

  I was on my way to work and I got a flat tire across the road from here. What are the chances that happens? I pulled in there and told them my dilemma. They squeezed me in right away and put my spare on so I could be on my way to work. Couldn't have asked for a more friendly staff! Many blessings and much gratitude 🙏

  Excellent for brakes and oil change great price First time! Lisa was awesome gave a very accurate estimate sold me on coming in with her excellent customer service by phone Jackson all day Awesone. Walked in Saturday instead of leaving me wait they have service to take you to your home and bring you back. Jackson super friendly knowledgeable plays great music and answered additional concerns on my way home. They ask do you need car by specific time car delivered as promised 20 minutes each way he took me back and fourth to free my time . Jackson makes you feel like family. He took me in shop with mechanic to make sure I fully understood repairs needed. Didn’t make it about taking my money straight up honesty you could wait on rear brakes you may only get additional month safely gave me the option. Lisa -Jackson and Kenzie are the best representation for why you go to Tuffy on Riverside Rockford. The owner should be very proud of the team. Great price services and just great experience. Kenzie newer to team but she hit all her marks with. Jackson and Lisa. She showed me great promise and will be a great asset to the shop. I loved the 3 of them. Jackson extra great explained all services and what to do after care for brakes ect.. I will continue to use them for all services they offer. Hopefully wouldn’t need the 2 year free Roadside assist they give but if I do feel very confident they will be ready to help. I know found a trustworthy caring shop. I highly recommend. ! Kudos to great shop and team !

  This was are first time using Tuffy's and it was great experience. Lisa was amazing to talk to and Jackson took the time to go over everything and explain it to me and answered all my questions and concerns. Mike also did an amazing job getting my van back to me in a very reasonable time. I will recommend them to anyone. Thank you so much.
