I had broken down in there parking lot, they had the belt but it wouldn't fit. I asked twice about the size and the only response I got was "that's the belt the computer says you need" despite it being about 1in short. I went up the road to O'Reillys and although the worker said the same thing initially, he asked what problem was I having with it. Once I explained he said I've got another identical style belt that is 1in longer even though the computer says otherwise. I got the right belt at a different store simply because this store didn't seem to care or didn't have the knowledge to help my problem.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
