- AEAlex EnghAug 7, 20251.0Workers are incredibly rude at this location, system is not updated at all. Called to get a part warrantied out recently for a part bought at a different location was told that the joliet location would have in stock. When I called to check stocking and the warranty. I was rudely told that the system did not have any transaction of sort now I am unsure of the systems are connected or not but I was hung up immediately before being able to ask if they had it in stock. Id recommend going to the bolingbrook or downers grove location for better service but if you want to be treated like a dumbass you should get your auto parts here.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
