  Just got my car back from gerber and looks terrible. Brought it in to get clear coat fixed and a little rust spot. They just painted over the rust and the paint job looks really bad it's feels gritty. They broke the window run and found interior panel hanging down. Quality control just isn't there.

  This shop should be embarrassed to be delivering cars back to customers with the paint and body issues a blind person can catch. The manager does a horrible job of communicating and skipping quality control must be procedure. I feel horrible for referring this place.

  PLEASE READ BEFORE SELECTING GERBER I never leave reviews, but I would be doing a disservice to anyone thinking about Gerber in Huntley. I would give 0 stars if possible. The 1 star I am rating them belongs solely to Brooke, the front desk assistant who you will be talking to A LOT. She is wonderful, and literally EVERYTHING else about this location is TERRIBLE. The reason you will be talking to Brooke so often is because no one from Gerber will actually call you for updates, besides the auto generated text, that was not accurate once. I called 6 times asking them if they have the correct contact information and they, 'updated' it every time. By the end of every conversation they never updated the contact information. I was promised to be called back, personally by the tech working on my car, which never came not even a single time. My car was in the shop a full 2 weeks past the initial promise date, and when I called the most recent time, they said they had all of the parts, and all that needed to be done was for it to be assembled. BUT the tech working on my car was not in that day, so I had to wait an extra weekend. Simply because out of all the techs they have working there, the tech working on MY car was not there that day. So even though it was over a week PAST the initial promise date, they could not spare any hands to finish the job. On top of all of that, they kept ordering the wrong parts. They ordered the wrong part for two separate parts needed MULTIPLE times, causing me to pay for a rental vehicle because insurance stopped covering the rental, due to me having it for so long. Gerber said they would cover the portion State Farm did not, but that was also a lie. Much like Eduardo said, the representatives lie. If you see a comment under my post saying they reached out, they have not. Gerber takes advantage of the fact a lot of people do not know much about cars, and very much have an, "it is what it is and we will get to it when we get to it" attitude. DO NOT GO HERE *Update Post still stands. Like in my review, they once again contacted the WRONG person in order to talk about the situation. What they did have to say was just the run of the mill corporate talk. Nothing was done or said about maybe alleviating or helping with the extra costs put on me, caused by the situation. It is not even a lot of money it was like $350 but the fact they called just to explain the situation that has been explained to me before is wild.

  Just Picked up my car from them and I honestly cant believe they are in business,the paint on bottom of the car looks like rubberized undercoating( should be shiny just like other side)thats how bad it is,see pictures….They broke my headlight tab on the driver side,I have missing bolts on bottom of the bumper and inside wheel wells,I am only writing this so other people know what to expect,I am beyond shocked how bad all this went,a car enthusiast’s nightmare Edit; Eduardo the GM has not contacted me about this issue,what a load of crap,asked him to pay for the broken headlight and no reply,not even thinking about ever taking my car there.
