If you want to lose your money faster than a magician makes a rabbit disappear, just go buy from Huntley RV! Seriously, it’s like watching a magic trick, except you’re the sucker in the hat.
We went to the Auto Show to check out the 2026 RVs and found one that caught our eye—Huntley RV. After asking about financing, it quickly became clear that you have to be sharper than a tack to avoid getting bamboozled by this dealership, especially the owner.
After signing paperwork with the finance agent, I discovered they were charging $2,500 for three letters and another $2,500 for three more letters. When I asked what on earth that meant, the agent said it was for transporting the RV to their store and preparing it for delivery. I told them, “Are you kidding me? Were you planning to hand me a dirty RV and call it a day?”
Then the manager/owner swooped in, like a cartoon villain, asking what I didn’t like about the price. I pointed out the hidden $5,000 in extra fees, and he got angry, insisting they weren’t hiding anything because it was on the paperwork—paperwork already ready to be signed! Here’s the kicker: these ridiculous extra fees were nowhere to be seen in the RV price they actually showed me.
I left a $200 deposit and still haven’t heard a word from them.
Honestly, it’s hard not to laugh at how bad this operation is. It’s like a masterclass in “how to make customers look like fools.” If you want to be taken for a ride (literally and financially), Huntley RV is your place. Otherwise, run far, far away.

This place is exceptional. If anyone is ever looking to buy an RV, this is the place you have to go to. I drove from Columbus, GA all the way over there and it was well worth the drive. They exceeded my expectations in every way and their customer service is the best I have ever experienced. Every member of the team in every department is amazing. The whole drive there I was nervous about driving that far and being disappointed. However, it was the best experience I have ever had in my life when it comes to making a large purchase like that. I left that place extremely satisfied and with zero regrets.
Picked up new camper today was good experience. Showed us all details about camper and answer all questions. Did not realize that I needed certified check which was a hiccup but the issue was resolved and my made things good. Will definitely recommend to give them a go if you are looking for a camper

I had an outstanding experience with General RV in Huntley, Illinois. From start to finish, their team demonstrated true professionalism and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. The communication was timely and consistent — they kept me informed every step of the way and were always quick to answer questions.
The service department and technicians are extremely knowledgeable and clearly take pride in their work. They took the time to explain everything thoroughly and made sure I felt confident and comfortable with the service and features of my RV. It’s refreshing to work with a team that genuinely cares about customer satisfaction.
On top of the excellent service, their pricing is very competitive compared to other RV sales and service centers I researched. You truly get great value without sacrificing quality.
I highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable RV sales or service. I will absolutely continue doing business with them in the future.

We purchased a "new" show unit from General RV on September 30th, 2025. It is now January 30th, 2026. This is the second RV we have purchased from them, the first time was in 2012 and we had no issues. This time has been an absolute nightmare. 💯% The rv had a broken bathroom mirror, so before we took it off the lot, Keith( our salesman), stated the camper could stay on their lot until the mirror came in and was mounted. That worked well for us as we were having a new concrete driveway installed. They had the camper for 6 weeks! 6 weeks to order a mirror and mount it. We missed beautiful fall camping because of this. So, November 11th the camper was brought home. The inside of the camper was left a mess by whomever mounted the mirror. Empty water bottles, dirty floor, wires hanging out of the bottom of the mirror (don't know what they were for) the worst part though, water damage to the bedroom shelving!! The shelves were peeling! This wasn't like this when we bought it. We called them, took it back to the dealership(which is over an hour from our home) on November 25th. It appears our "new" camper had been hit/damaged on their lot. General blamed the manufacturer, so we had to wait until approval from Forest River was received. We heard nothing from anyone at General, unless we called them. My husband contacted Forest River on 12/22/2026 and were told they were " busy with a show", but would approve the repairs. I also contacted the camp crew and was told they'd look into it in 24-48 hrs. Guess what? Nothing from them until I wrote them again on January 7, 2026. Demetrius Morgan (camp crew) stated he'd presented our issue to the powers that be and our issues were being addressed. Here it is, January 30th, 2026, no communication from Demetrius Morgan and still no camper. Finally heard from Heather today, she was unwilling to transfer me to management, and now they are waiting for another part! The camper had extensive water damage, they are replacing insulation and some of the water soaked boards. But now they have to order another part! After we purchased the rv we made plans for a month long trip in February. Huntley store is aware of this and told us it is now waterproof so you could take it on your trip and we'll replace the soaking wet, (probably moldy,my thoughts) insulation when you get back" ! Are you serious?? I don't feel like this is even a new camper anymore. I'm afraid to take it on the road. I feel like they got our money and are jacking us around. Do not buy from General, find another dealer.
