- GGgigi777ist3 days ago1.0I was billed for a toll that I didn't incur. Because the rental agreement read 3:01pm and the toll happened at 3:03 pm, the rental office is holding me responsible. I explained that the reservation for the car was at 3pm and I didn't receive the car until after 3:15pm, the rental office states that I was able to drive from the rental office to the toll in two minutes and take the car through. Anyone that knows the toll road is over a mile away from the location (183rd Halsted), and it takes more than two minutes to get to the toll. I explained that my renal agreement clearly has an email time stamp of 3:16pm and I must have proof of the rental while driving. I provided the time stamp on the email and the rental office still wants to say I went through a toll within two minutes of the 3:01pm rental agreement. I didn't go through any tolls for the entire two weeks I had the vehicle. I received the car after 3PM and I keep expressing that the toll happened by a worker bringing the car to that location. I am now disputing the charge and am willing to hire an attorney to prove this location is scamming the customers. If the reservation is listed on the agreement however one doesn't complete the walk through, set the mirrors, figure out where the gas cap is, how to work the light, etc, how can I be at a toll road in two minutes. Again, it was not I. This is sad, however I would rather pay an attorney $500.00 to prove my point than to pay a toll of 60 cents plus $25.00. This is just how angry I am.
