- GLGeorge LeClaireJun 23, 20251.0The location in Des Plaines is an absolute dive. The one Glenview is extremely nice and very upscale. The one Glenview at least has six parking places. The one in Des Plaines did not have any. The parking lot was completely packed and full, and I had to park down the street. It’s also on a one-way street so if you can’t find parking, you can’t turn around. I would not recommend the location in Des Plaines. They claim Mia in customer service has been in contact with me to help resolve the issue. That is an absolute lie. I did not get a call. I have no email messages and there are no messages on my phone. They have my phone number if they want to call me. So that makes the second lie. The person that did the estimate told me that some damage near the front mirror. The insurance company would probably want it buffed but it really probably need to be painted and so that’s just a game that they play with the insurance company I guess however the damage near the rear of my bumper is actually missing paint. He said that could not be buffed again if I go to small claims court with us and subpoena him was just requires filling out a form. I don’t pay any money I’ve done it before and I put him on the witness stand and ask him did he tell me that was going to be painted or needs to be painted? He’s gonna have to say yes however with the estimate all he put down was it’s going to be buffed you can’t buff missing paint so he lied to me when he and then did the estimate And now they’re lying on their review stating that they contacted me to resolve the issue they did not. Also, my insurance company USAA will not use Gerber and gloom you anymore because they said they got lied to so all this place does lie lie lie. My insurance company will use all other Gerber location locations. When I had the estimate done, the person said that they knew the estimator guy said they know Gerber had a bad rating and lost insurance companies, but that was previous workers and previous managers and that now all of the people that worked there are from the Des Plaines location. I called the Des Plaines location and they said that’s not true so that’s three lies. Look at the missing paint on these things and you judge whether you think it can be buffed out or not missing paint needs paint. Here are the pictures from the accident and the police on the scene. The woman admitted to me that she did it and she seemed like she had been drinking.
