  It's a shame this store my experience was a catastrophe. I bought parts for my car and even though I was charged the parts guy gave them wrong and didn't give me all my parts at all even though I was billed. Maria was working the next day and I took my receipt and showed her the wrong parts and she kept telling me that I was to blame for not looking at the parts and what was funny was she kept trying to sweet talk me by calling me "love" and that I was blaming the parts guy and the store well let's just say I made a trip to that store twice which I've shouldn't had to if they are professional right. Every time I would go in there my blood pressure rose to the roof. It's not my job to look up parts it's their's it's not my job to pull the parts of the shelves but they don't do that they always say my inventory is right and when you ask them to double check they are lazy even though I gave a one star the store and professional parts people which they are not don't deserve the one star don't ever go to this location it's a waste of time and maria is very rude. If the manager or corporation like to contact me please feel free but know this I will never return to that store again that particular store needs to shut down

  I had a very disappointing experience at Advance Auto Parts (Des Plaines location) due to an extremely rude employee named Maria. She was dismissive, and had a very unprofessional attitude. I came in needing help and instead felt disrespected as a customer. Customer service should be a priority in a retail environment, and unfortunately that was not the case here. Management should seriously address this, because behavior like this reflects poorly on the entire store.

  I called up to ask about a battery I needed and I spoke to Oscar. We talked for a few minutes and he was very helpful and told me he had what I needed and to come in. I went in and met Oscar, and he was fantastic. He went above and beyond to help me with what I needed. I want to give recognition Oscar for being an exemplary employee. People like Oscar are an asset to the team. Because of him I will return for other automotive needs.
