  I arrived at the National O'Hare location mid-morning on a Monday and there were many vehicles to choose from on the Executive and Emerald Aisles. Like 6 rows. All types of options from small, mid, large, trucks, jeeps, SUVs and even a Mustang. Car ran perfectly and the cost at the return was $65 lower than what was originally estimated at the time of rental reservation.

  National Car Rental is always excellent. From the pick-up to drop-off, it’s always easy and simple. At the O’Hare Airport, Kiki at car returns is a ROCK STAR . . . but don't tell Billy Idol 😁 P.S. This isn’t actually the car I rented as I got a nice Buick . . . but I knew I’d get your attention with this picture 😁

  A long time national fan and user. This is a well maintained and cared for location with emphasis on customer service. The fleet has been on the newer side and always clean and well maintained. Regardless the time of day/night the staff has always been excellent. More of a Chicago issue but be sure to understand options for the tolls. Can you their toll pass which makes it simple or other pretty easy options.

  If I could I would have given no stars. Rented Luxury SUV the car was covered in spoiled soda all over interior, had to pick out stuck gummy bear in the cup holders. Cars display did not work, had to call into roadside assistance which was not much help. When I finally spoke to a “manager” on site (Sydney Washer) could not have been more rude and condescending in her attempts to “apologize and negotiate compensation for the disruption” in allowing a car with 68K miles on the road. I am an Elite member and have already canceled upcoming reservations with them and will be looking at other options for rentals in the near future.

  **UPDATE 3/21/26- REVISED THIS REVIEW - A wonderful Manager of the location, Dan contacted me and was more then apologetic for all that has happened. Dan made a true difference and gave me his contact information for next time I book to assure no issues. If it weren't for Dan, National would not have had my business ever again. Thanks to Dan, and his great resolutions, and so professional and prompt, I will give National another chance. Thank you Dan. To those at National, you need to promote this man as he is a TRUE leader! 3/18/26 Ohare Airport - Horrible experience. This was the first time using my new Corporate account, which I left my other Rental company since my Amex gives me Executive status with National. I was supposed to have the car for a week. The car was DISGUSTING! FILTHY, SMELLY, ect. I had no time to deal with it as the person who gave me the car was rude and didn't care for my concerns. I returned the next day as soon as I could after work and told my concerns, another rude person, no offer for a new car, discount, upgrade, nothing just returned it and walked away. RUDE! So I went back to the desk to the company I left when switching to National and such a great experience with my old company. I can't believe anyone would act this way to a customer and this was 2 days, 2 different employees. I tried emailing and calling my corporate representative and no response, I called Account support and another rude person on the phone. I told my issues, no i's sorry, no trying to keep me as a customer, nothing. Just a simple I will let the branch know and disconnected the line. I guess this is the training of National rental as the only experience I had on every level, every person i dealt with was HORRIBLE. Must be in the training top disrespect customers and/or treat the Corporate customers like trash. No one else to call to get help. So i am at a loss.
