Starting with my initial interaction approaching the counter, Omar was very prompt, pleasant and efficient. I cannot remember the gentleman's name who took me to choose a vehicle, but he was great also! I'm supposed to bring back lunch from my family for the staff. 😂 Very personable and resourceful. Ms. Josetta was a real treat upon my check in to exit rentals. Customer service is CONSISTENT, through and through.. My initial car, Sentra, had some issues so I text the customer service number that messaged me about my trip and if I needed anything. It was an inconvenience to ride back to O'Hare BUT again, even the communication via text was an accommodating and positive experience. I returned the car, the gentleman who checked in the Nissan and guided me to the podium at National was helpful, apologetic about the inconvenience and thorough. Lastly, the lady at the podium (possibly a manager) was a good experience & got me into a new vehicle, Mazda (my favorite choice). The gentleman who checked me out upon exiting for the replacement, efficient and polite. Every single associate I interacted with was great; customer service throughout my whole trip was amazing! I appreciate everyone's conversation & efforts in making this trip home (Chicago will forever be home to me) such a positive memory for me. I can't wait to come back & use Enterprise for my future needs. Have a great week ahead!

I picked up my rental on March 21st. I was walked out to my car. After I got in and started the vehicle, the dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree — keep in mind this was a luxury rental. I got out and informed someone walking around to which he checked the car and put me in a different vehicle. I turned this car on, no lights! Great! I drove the vehicle 20 minutes down the interstate and the first time I applied the brakes going more than 30mph, the car started to shake like an earthquake. It was already 1:30AM, I had a short trip with little driving and I understood the car wouldn’t fall apart. I just kept it as I didn’t have time to drive in circles on Chicago’s interstates at 1:30AM. I drove the car back in 2 days and explained my situation. No concerns, no “I’m sorry”… nothing. I didn’t even ask for money off and didn’t want money off. I understand they’re cars and will have issues, but nothing?! Fast forward to today, I receive an email stating I have outstanding tolls for which accrued a $25 fee for a missed toll. I checked my rental agreement which it showed the first cars license plate NOT the updated car that shook like an earthquake. So I had the wrong plate in my account to pay the tolls. I know they take some time to come through so I was just waiting until receiving that email. I of course, now aware of the bill, paid the tolls. Enterprise you failed quite horribly on this and my business will now be taken elsewhere.

Awesome staff. Was renting with them for years. But someone from the management is an egocentric work of art. After a small misunderstanding with location. A lady probably some manager was calling me and treating with police if I don’t return the car. Since then I was trying to reach out to management because I was placed on a no rent list. 15 times I gave a call to customer service literally begging them to reach me out . Apparently the Ohare branch is the only one who can remove me from a no rent list . That’s too much power for someone egotistical like this lady was . I’m unable to rent in Europe and probably the rest of the world with Enterprise . Because of the tipe of job that I work im renting mostly in Enterprise because of their large network in USA . And so far I’m most of the time when in rural USA I’m suffering a lot . This has affected my ability to be efficient enormously. It’s a sad thing that people are so arrogant and selfish when “power” comes to question. I hope that someone “from the management” will see this message and finally give me a call. Respectfully 15 times .

Never had a better experience in renting a car. The desks were well-manned with three employees (most places only have 1). The man that I talked to at the front desk was extremely courteous. He did not try to sell me anything. He saw that I was in a rush (I didn't have to say anything) and he expedited my rental. The wait was not long at all. While I would remove a star because the vehicle I rented was not available, they provided me with a free upgrade to apologize. I cannot complain.
The vehicle was extremely clean and well-functioning. There were no surprise costs and no extra fees I didn't expect.
The exiting process (took a little bit longer but not that long) and return process were extremely easy as well. The man I returned the car to even asked me if everything went well. Just a basic courtesy goes a long way.
I have never had such a seamless experience at a car rental.

On March 16th, my husband and I rented a vehicle from Chicago O'Hare Airport location with our debit card. The entire amount of $1595.64 was deducted per the rental agreement and there was no deposit required because we had round-trip tickets leaving to our country of residence. On April 13th, we received notification that our flight was cancelled due to union strikes at Lufthansa. Immediately, we contacted Enterprise and we were informed that there would be no charge for the additional rental day and sent a new rental agreement showing no charge. On April 16th, we returned the vehicle and noticed a charge of $73.52. We called Enterprise Chicago O'Hare and the amount was credited back to our account. On April 18th, a charge for $1669.16 appeared - the rental agreement amount plus the extra day. Immediately, we called Enterprise Chicago O'Hare Airport location. The first rep said the entire amount plus deposit is charged at the beginning of the rental and the call "dropped." The second rep elevated the call but there has been no calls. Bank of America said there's no transactions on their end for Enterprise at all until today and they have not seen anything like this before. There's no way we could've rented a vehicle with any rental company that accepts debit cards without paying upfront first. I don't know what Enterprise Chicago O'Hare is up to but I would definitely stay away from there because dishonest and deceptive business practices are clearly happening. I have rented from Enterprise exclusively for 14 years. I am DONE. If you want value your dollars especially as a disabled or retired individual, don't rent from here. I will avoid them because they unnecessarily billed me and took my disability pension for housing and food expenses leaving me high and dry in a foreign country without money. SMH. Enterprise gets an "F" from me in more ways than one. They started off great and finished poor.
Update:
The Chicago O'Hare location didn't ever reach out to contact me - no surprise since they were the ones with misinformation. Customer Service contacted me via email with information not relevant to my issue regarding the rates. I never had any issues with the rates just the billing process. I contacted Billing in the Corporate/National office on my own and they were helpful. Unfortunately, the transaction appears as pending for a few days before dropping off giving the illusion of a paid transaction. Once the vehicle was returned, a final payment was submitted for payment. I wasn't charged twice and I was grateful to get clarification on this issue. This fiasco could have easily been avoided. I called several times to get clarification prior to arrival at the Chicago O'Hare location just to make sure I understood the process and requirements with debit cards. The inconsistencies and misleading information in debit card policies and procedures is a resounding "no" for future rentals. If you can't make it make sense for customers when they are asking all necessary questions prior to rental to get a firm understanding, then, you don't deserve my money or my business.
