  I had to get a rental after someone t-boned me on the way to work. I took the Mazda since it was the only one available at the time. I was not a fan of the vehicle and I contacted them about switching. They returned my messages but did not follow up about any of cars being available. However, that wasn't the issue I had with them. At this point, I was going to leave 5 stars. This was my first rental experience and I prepaid for gas. I was not explained how any of it worked so I just assumed that was the safer way. I was expecting to have the rental a lot longer and received a short notice that I had to return the vehicle back. I essentially paid twice for filling up the tank once. What really bothers me is that I received a toll charge while I was at work for a toll in NYC. I work in Hodgkins, IL. I have proof that I was at work and not 806 miles away in NYC. Of course, they're going to take a long time to investigate this obvious error. I spoke with four different people and I find that unacceptable. Ideally it should be one person, two should be the max. The customer service guy I spoke to was great. He treated me like a human and was the most helpful person. That guy deserves a raise. However, the assistant manager at this local branch treated me like I was just a pest. She was only able to refund me 25$, while it takes about 55$ to fully fill at the current cost of gas. I was pretty sure I returned it around 3/4 full. I don't understand why Enterprise could not fully refund the total amount. Enterprise isn't going to feel that 55$, but I will. I was on hold with the manager and it kept playing the message "Enterprise goes the extra mile for their clients." At this time, I have to leave a 1 star review. The 56$ charge for the toll that's 806 miles away is still being investigated. I do not understand why their systems did not automatically flag that. Of course, they are going to charge me as fast as they can and it's up to me to contact them about it. In summary, Enterprise needs to do better about explaining their policies, work on their customer service, and resolve these issues before they charge my credit card. If someone was in a car accident, Enterprise should go the extra mile and not give me a partial refund. If it's a policy that the manager has no control over, that should be changed.
