    I paid 9 dollars for additional coverage which would have covered any minor damages. I also paid US$ 20 for unexpected damages on the car, recommended by Sixt employee at ORD airport (Chicago). I drove frankly from ORD airport to Minneapolis airport (MSP), so how I could damage roof pillar? They charged me US$ 234.00 for the damage. Not only this is not ethical, but also pure robbery. Very disappointed and will never rent a car from Sixt again.

    CHECK THE TIRES and REFUSE UPGRADES - Sixt did not have the car I reserved and "upgraded" me to a luxury suv that had nails in the tire. Unfortunately the tire light didn't come in until I had pulled out of the rental. Their customer service person on the phone told me to take it to a tire repair and bring in receipts and I would be reimbursed. Luckily the tire place tried to patch it for free, and told me to be careful because all of the tires were bald. Despite providing all of the evidence of that to Sixt, they charged me for a $700 tire, and threatened to damage my credit if I didn't pay it.

    Just rented from Sixt for the first time at ORD location. I am beyond impressed!!! The cars are newer, nicer and available!!! Leslie, the rental counter agent was great!!! The car I reserved wasn’t ready and without hesitation secured an upgrade and I was on my way!! My return was equally outstanding with Luke greeting me, checking me in and expediting my return. Loved it!! Definitely putting Sixt at the top of my rental car needs list!!!

    I am a Sixt gold member. This is our preferred rental place. The agent at the counter told us that they would not accept our Visa card. We've used it at both locations in Chicago. The "assistant manager" Ernesto was then called in. He was not dressed to the same standard as the other associates. He also didn't have any type of business card, so he wrote down his name for us. He informed us that the card we wished to utilize, a Visa, was not acceptable. After I complained and said it was BS, he refused to rent to us, stating that we don't have a right to speak our minds. I actually apologized for my language and he said it was too late. We had to go to Alamo instead which was a great experience. The staff at the Sixt location were rude. This was a major disappointment and an experience that will prevent using Sixt again. Again, the same Visa card has been used at multiple other location and the Sixt Web site said Visa is acceptable. They treated me like I was trying to scam them. Perhaps the worst customer service experience I've ever had.

    Last time, they charged me $625 to tow the car from Terminal 5 parking to the Sixt lot, which is only about two miles away. Now they’re charging me $58 for one gallon of gas. This feels like a complete scam. I would strongly advise people to think twice before doing business here. I work hard for my money, and I expect fair treatment. Instead, I’ve been hit with excessive and questionable charges. I plan to share my full experience on my Instagram, where I have over 130,000 followers. The last time I exposed a company for terrible customer service and dishonest practices, the video reached 40 million views. On top of that, it’s extremely frustrating trying to resolve anything. Every time I call, I’m connected to an overseas call center where communication is difficult. I’m told someone will follow up, but no one ever does. This level of service is unacceptable. If you value transparency and customer service, be cautious before renting from this company.
