When a technician replaced my rear window glass, I later found an AirTag placed inside my vehicle. I did not authorize this, and it raises serious concerns that someone may have intended to track or steal my car.

I had an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience with Safelite.
In October, Safelite replaced my rear window and damaged the window frame beneath it during the installation. I was told at the time that this would be repaired at no cost, but I heard nothing for a week. When I finally called, I was told that no order had even been placed.
I was then told the necessary parts would be ordered and that I would be contacted. Another three weeks passed with no follow-up. Only after I called again was I told the parts had arrived, and that I needed to bring the car back myself for the repair.
The window frame was finally repaired last Saturday. The car was driven normally on Sunday and Monday morning with no issues, and was not driven again after that. It remained parked in an indoor garage. On Thursday night, the rear window suddenly shattered on its own, without any impact.
When I called Safelite the next morning, I was initially told the glass would be replaced for free. Later that same day, I was told it was not covered under warranty, and that I would have to pay out of pocket.
One additional detail is important to note. When I picked up my car after the window frame was replaced, the technician told me that the rear window glass was removed and reinstalled in order to replace the window frame.
However, when I spoke with another custom service representative later who told me Safelite would not take responsibility, I was told the glass was not touched at all during the window frame repair, which directly contradicts what I was told by the technician.
This experience reflects poor workmanship, lack of communication, and a complete lack of accountability. I am being asked to pay for a failure that occurred immediately after their repair.
I would not recommend this Safelite.
