I live in the building attached to this garage. It is nice because it is a garage, the door is closed most of the time, it is tight to menuever around as spots are tight. I had 2 monthly parking spaces and am very disappointed in the inability to get a response from anyone. I was quoted 400 /month and was charged 537 for several months, reached out via email, left voicemail and never a reply. Now for the last few months they're charging 437. 3 weeks ago I reached out to cancel one of my two spots and still no response. There have to be other garages with people who realize what they provide is a service and won't lock you in and take money which was not agreed upon.

Very tight parking garage even for compact cars. All cars are door to door with mirrors folded in. Most available spaces would only comfortably fit a Smartcar. The SpotHero page does say no oversized vehicles but there are plenty in the garage. This garage may be cheaper than others but do yourself a favor and spend a few bucks more for peace of mind in a garage where your car is less likely to get dinged. That being said, successful parking experience with scanning in and out.

I would not recommend this garage to anyone. The 441 E Erie Street parking lot is unsafe, poorly regulated, and incredibly frustrating to use. The ramps and driveways are already extremely narrow, yet the garage management allows massive pickup trucks and oversized body-on-frame SUVs (Ford, Chevy, GMC, Dodge, RAM, etc.) to park in areas clearly marked for “small cars only.” Because of this lack of enforcement, drivers of normal vehicles are left with almost no room to maneuver. On my visit, I had to avoid several oversized trucks sticking out into the loop-around areas on multiple floors. The result? I struck the curb and damaged my rim — an unnecessary expense caused entirely by this garage’s refusal to regulate its own posted rules. What makes this worse is the inconsideration of the drivers of these massive vehicles. If you truly need a truck for work, fine. But let’s be honest — the majority of people driving these oversized pickups in the city are doing it for statement purposes, not actual usage. In a dense city like Chicago, and especially in tight high-rise garages, that choice impacts everyone else. Drivers of these vehicles should be far more considerate and realize their parking decisions directly put other people’s cars at risk. Parking in Chicago is already expensive. The very least customers should expect is safety and fairness. Unfortunately, this garage provides neither. Until management enforces size restrictions and drivers of oversized trucks show basic consideration for others, I strongly recommend avoiding this location.

I have been a monthly parker here for 2 years living in the Axis building and I just want to warn other residence so they do not go through the same experience. It really has to be one of the worst garages ever with some of the most unhelpful people, and it's unfair that you really don't have a choice but to park there. Spaces are EXTREMELY tight. They guarantee you that you will have a spot (as an apartment resident), but this is not true. When it comes to charging you with violations, they are on top of their game. When it comes to helping you resolve issues, nothing works (phone number and extension no long in service, emails sent to what is stated on their website will return an error, and the LAZ employees in the office don't even know what to do). Here's an Example. On May 31 2024, an employee went around handing out tickets to everyone like crazy. They charged all the cars that were even just slightly on the line. Remember, spaces are tight (and i think every resident at the Axis would agree with this). They charged so many cars in the garage a $50 fee per day, with nowhere on the ticket to pay. You can go to their website, but it is the wrong site to pay. So you finally get an official notice in the mail over a month with the correct link to pay. However, you get hit with an extra $25 late fee because it's been over a month, but you had no idea where to pay. The letter tells you that you have 60 days from the notice to appeal. It will literally say on the website that you can no longer appeal because it is past the 60 day period when it's only been 35 days. I honestly think they do this because sooner or later, they know you'll give up and just pay the fee, even though you pay $260 a month for a monthly subscription.
