Our first time renting from this location and I am quite pleased. I usually end up at Budget due to price but after several bad experiences we chose to pay (a little) more for Enterprise. Great service and staff. The cars were clean and well kept. You can tell they care and aren't standing around looking angry at the world. Everyone chatted nicely and worked to help us as best they could despite the cold. They didn't now how some functions of our VW worked so that was a little challenge but Google was helpful. The third row also either wasn't in our particular model or we couldn't figure out how to access it, so that was disappointing. We were hoping to upgrade in size upon check in but there was nothing available. For this I've knocked off a star but otherwise had a great experience.

Overall great experience from a customer standpoint at the desk in person. My main concern being that, I was asked if I wanted to utilize the Toll Pass option during my rental period. Prior to accepting this offer I asked the associate helping me if where I was going (Iowa) required the use of a toll pass. I was informed (No) so therefore I declined the additional option if it wasn't going to be needed. We'll, within about 15-20 minutes into my trip, all of the signs for tolls begin to pop up. The main tollway being I-294 which was about a 60-70 mile stretch or more, or at least it felt that way. I called into the Illinois Toll Pass to figure out how to ensure the fees were paid in a timely manner. The state wanted me to create a Pay by Plate account and keep my credit card on file which I found odd. Not only that I was told that all charges from 12/23/25 to 1/7/26 would be linked to the license plate of the vehicle I drove since they only create their invoices in 14 day increments. I rented the vehicle on the 2nd and returned it on the 5th. Obviously I'm upset that im being told that all charges aligned to that plate from 12/23 to 1/7 will be billed to my CC and charges that aren't mine I can dispute with the state. I called into Enterprise to express my concern, speaking with someone by the name of Erica who initially seemed to be helpful, but not longbinto the conversation exhibited a rather condescending attitude about the situation and how it would be resolved as I was trying to understand the difference between what the state was telling me and what she was telling me would happen. In the end, per the rep the tolls are automatically linked to the plate and will be assessed to my CC used during the rental agreement. I'll also be assessed and additional $25.00 Admin Fee for what I was told that I wouldn't need as apparently you can't pay the fee yourself for the timeframe you used the vehicle. I say all that to say, if you're flying into Midway and use Enterprise or likely any other vendor on-site, get the Toll Pass if you're driving to Iowa. Im not sure about any of the other destinations so it may just be best to get the pass all together to save on unnecessary cost or admin fees.

I am writing to express my significant frustration regarding my recent rental experience at this location. I specifically reserved a luxury vehicle well in advance to ensure I had the necessary space and features for my trip. Upon arrival, I was informed that the class I reserved was unavailable. Instead of providing a complimentary upgrade—which is standard industry practice—I was forced to accept a downgrade to a compact suv. This was not just an inconvenience; it directly impacted my travel plans and comfort. I expect a rental company to honor its reservations or provide an equivalent or better alternative. I will be hesitant to book with this location again.

Nothing but good things to say about Enterprise Midway Airport location. Vehicles are always clean and ready for you at the appointed time and the staff both at the counter and upstairs at the pick-up and drop-off are complete professionals. Always a great experience.

Horrible experience. Customer service confirmed I could exchange a vehicle at the midway location since it was after local business hours at the enterprise near my house. Upon reaching the midway location I explained to Nick Hughes - supervisor on duty, who proceeded to tell us there was no suv to exchange. The SUV that was given to me was a rear wheel drive vehicle- realized after I picked up the car since I've never heard of such a thing. Driving hours between the IL and IN wanted a real SUV safe for cold weather driving. Every SUV we saw on the lot he shared had a story including one that needed an oil change which we saw then being driven away off the lot as a rental. Honestly, Nick just didn't want to help and blamed our local enterprise and the customer service department- basically telling me to take up my issue with them. Wasted 3 hours of my life with no resolution in 18 degree weather, loss of time away from spending with my family- worst of all with no regard to any inconvenience as a customer. Such a dissapointing experience- especially being lied to in such a blatant way.
