    They were discriminatory and refused to honor my reservation because I supposedly needed an International Driving Permit. This is false, their own website clearly states that a valid driver’s license from my home country is accepted. Even after I showed this information, they were extremely rude and unwilling to help. I was left stranded with my family, having to find a last-minute solution because of their unacceptable behavior. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful. I do not recommend this location to anyone.

    Your company should be consistent and transparent about its own policies. Although the official website clearly states that I do not need an International Driving Permit to rent a car, the agent at your Midway Airport location in Chicago refused to release the vehicle I had reserved months in advance due to the lack of an IDP. I showed her the company’s written policy— which I had checked beforehand — and she still refused to proceed. There is no room for interpretative ambiguity: the policy literally states “recommended, but not required.” Despite this, the agent insisted on an IDP that your own rules explicitly say is optional for licenses written in a Latin-based alphabet. We were traveling to another city, we had a baby with us, and no other rental company at the airport had cars available. In other words, the company’s poor internal communication regarding its own rules caused us a major disruption. Below is the exact policy from your website, which makes it clear that my driver’s license in Portuguese (not in English, but using the same Latin alphabet) should be accepted: Customers travelling to the U.S. and Canada from other countries It is important that customers check with the appropriate Department of Motor Vehicles in the States or Provinces in which they intend to travel to ensure compliance with their various licensing laws. Digital licenses are not accepted. The following practices are used to ensure the customer is presenting a facially valid license at the time of rental. Customers traveling to the United States and Canada from another country must present the following: • Their home country driver’s license that is valid, unexpired and includes a photograph, and • If the home country license is in a language other than English (or French, for rentals in Canada) and the letters are English (i.e., German, Spanish, etc.), an International Driver’s Permit is recommended, but not required, for translation purposes in addition to the home country license. • If the home country license is in a language other than English and the letters are not English (i.e., the alphabet is not an extended Latin-based alphabet like German or Spanish but is Russian, Japanese, Arabic, etc.), an International Driver’s Permit is required.

    Rented a luxury vehicle and it was anything but that! Windshield wipers were in horrible shape so when it rained, had to pull over. The tire pressure lights were going off and then the inspection due warning light was on. Not sure why a vehicle would be rented to anyone in this shape. When I contacted customer service, they sent me over to the road side assistance section who did nothing to resolve the issue, other than to tell me to drive the vehicle back to them (2 hours away).

    I always have great experiences renting my car at Enterprise. The employees are super nice and helpful. They and the system that Enterprise has set up makes renting from them very easy and always goes smoothly. Very satisfied and pleased with Enterprise.
