Avail has bad customer service! When I picked up the rental it was already dirty. I took photos for my records. Then when I returned the vehicle I was charged a $150 cleaning fee. I explained to customer support that it was already dirty and they said they would refund me the $150. They never refunded me and I called back multiple times for the next three months to get the fee refunded and they kept lying and said it would be done. It's been almost a year and no refund.

Beware: after I booked with them, this company erroneously charged my credit card multiple times, to the tune of almost $400.
When Avail works properly, it is great. I love the idea of it, and used it several times without issue. But after multiple issues, I feel I must issue a PSA about this company:
If you are going to rent with Avail, please be aware that there is a meaningful, non-zero chance that you will be charged in excess of what you should be charged as stated in their terms and conditions, and Avail’s lack of customer support means there will be no person to speak to on the phone to resolve your issue. In my experience, this “non-zero” chance is roughly 50%. I no longer rent through them, because almost half of my rentals saw this issue, and after my last rental, Avail erroneously charged me — and I am not kidding — $367.50. Again, there was no one to speak to on the phone, and the text chat agents can’t resolve these types of issues.
Unless you have no other options, please consider other companies.
