On March 21, I booked an SUV, but upon arrival I was provided with a Mitsubishi Mirage, which is a basic subcompact hatchback. The vehicle received was significantly below the category I reserved, yet I was still charged the SUV rate of $60/day. I have rented several times from Alamo Chicago Downtown, and this experience was disappointing. Given the substantial difference between an SUV and a Mitsubishi Mirage—both in size and category—I believe a rate adjustment or appropriate discount would be fair and logical.
