She blurted out what can I do for you in an unpleasant voice. When I asked her I was there to pick up an online I had placed over an hour ago. she said I have no online orders then pulled up her screen and said, oh it just popped up. Then told me it was out of stock and left it at that, leaving me with no answers or possible solutions. Needless to say I was totally turned off by then and walked out in discussed.

From the jump, the staff was friendly, helpful, and actually listened to what I needed instead of just nodding and disappearing. And let me talk about Renee real quick because whew. Store Manager Renee is THAT girl. Super knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely kind. She explained things without making me feel dumb, rushed, or like I was interrupting her day. It felt more like chatting with a friend who really knows car parts than dealing with a manager. You can tell the whole team reflects her energy, welcoming, helpful, and on point. I left with the right parts, zero stress, and honestly a better mood than when I walked in. If customer service like this was everywhere, the world would be a better place. 10/10, will absolutely be back. Calumet City understood the assignment.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
