They’ll have you on hold for an hour and just randomly hang up. That has happened on multiple occasions and the excuse is “its only 2 people working”

My fiancé’s cousin needed a rental after the recent storm in the Kankakee area severely damaged her vehicle with hail and broken windows. Staff showed her a rental car, but her card chip wasn’t working, so we quickly stepped out to try to open a bank account that could issue a card immediately. We came back shortly after and expected to continue the process. Instead, we watched multiple customers who arrived after us get helped before her. We waited over an hour with little acknowledgment or communication from staff. On top of that, the vehicle that had already been shown to her was given to someone else. What made the experience even more frustrating was seeing the manager leave in a rental vehicle during this time to pick up her son and bring him back to the office while customers were still waiting to be helped. I understand policies around chip cards, but the lack of professionalism, communication, and basic customer consideration made an already stressful situation much worse. Management should seriously review how this location is being run.
