Updated Review: Intoxalock is a separate business than the one I originally rated, I can see they are customer driven and service is one of their top priorities, their supervisor called me addressed all my concerns and was very engaged in solving the ones he could and escalating my comments so they would be taken into consideration in the future. They are definitely doing things right.
Original review: They said it would take a lot shorter than it did, and my windshield was super dirty when they gave me my car back, also the settings on my car have been acting up after the installation.

Horrible experience with Intoxalock. They don't honor the promotion of free installation and free first payment. If you want a company to make it difficult to get those promotions go with them. I've emailed receipt and coupons and I keep being told they haven't received it and now they are asking if I can send it pdf when the link they sent doesn't give the option to download or print. Couldn't find official page of Intoxalock to leave review, other than that I received good service where I had the installation.
Frequently Asked Questions About Intoxalock Ignition Interlock
How does an interlock device work?
An ignition interlock device (IID) is a small breathalyzer installed in your vehicle to prevent it from starting if alcohol is detected on your breath. Before driving, you'll blow into the device. If your breath alcohol concentration (BrAC) is below the programmed limit, the car starts. Periodic retests occur during your trip to ensure continued compliance. To read more on Intoxalock, you can read our ignition interlock device guide.
What is the cost of an ignition interlock device?
The installation of an ignition interlock device, often called a car breathalyzer, typically costs between $70 and $150. This one-time fee is paid at the start of your lease and covers the service center's labor to install the device in your vehicle. Payment is made directly to the service center at the time of installation. For more on cost breakdowns, you can read our cost of ignition interlock device guide.
How do I use my interlock device?
Using an IID is simple. To start your vehicle, blow into the device as directed. If the device detects no alcohol, your car will start. You may be prompted for "rolling retests" while driving, where you’ll blow into the device again to confirm compliance. How-to videos are also available on the Intoxalock mobile app.

What happens if I fail a breath test on my ignition interlock device?
If you fail a breath test, your vehicle will not start, and the device will log the event. Depending on your state’s regulations, multiple failed tests may trigger additional penalties, such as lockouts or reporting to your monitoring authority. Intoxalock devices allow you to retest after a short wait if alcohol is no longer detected. Always follow your state’s guidelines to remain compliant.
