When my 2019 Ford Edge had a major transmission issue, the repair was approved — but the part couldn’t be sourced by the repair facility through Enterprise’s channels. The only available part was found through a third-party source but required freight charges, which the warranty company refused to cover, citing a contract exclusion. Even worse, their rental reimbursement was capped at just 6 days — after that, I was on my own. Despite the repair being approved, I’ve now been without a car for weeks and paying out of pocket for rental and freight — all while holding a warranty that’s supposed to help me avoid exactly this scenario. I’ve been tossed between the warranty company and the repair shop, misled about callbacks, and denied any escalation to a manager. The entire process has felt dismissive and unaccountable. Enterprise — you sold this warranty. Your brand is on it. Your name was used to promote it as a trusted product. At the very least, stand by your customers when your extended warranty partner fails to support them in good faith.
