As we were going through the wash for the first time, there was a loud bang as what sounded like little rock hit our windshield. As we pulled around for the vacuums we saw that there was now a chip in the windshield. The owner and manager came over to the car and I told them what had happened. The owner said that they would review camera footage and make things right if they were at fault. I thought that they were very professional about it and was hoping that they would make it right once they had video proof. After a week of communicating back and forth and reviewing footage that shows that there wasn’t a chip before we entered the car wash, they decided that there wasn’t anything that they could “warranty” and that they wouldn’t be replacing my windshield. I think it was a once in a 1000 chance that there somehow was a rock that got stuck in the red spindles and damaged the windshield or something, but just keep in mind that you’re liable for any damage that they do to your vehicle.
