At the recommendation of the rental company, we took it in to get it fixed which would be covered by insurance. When we went to pick the car up, they added approximately $200 to our bill for a rain repel and new windshield wipers. They insisted that we had agreed to this service, but when we asked for the supposedly recorded conversation containing our approval, they skirted the question and would never provide anything. We NEVER agreed to this, why the heck would we pay for this for a rental car?! We have now been fighting with them for a month trying to get a refund. It’s a circular blame game between the store and customer care and when we try to contact the general manager we are ignored every time. I wouldn’t recommend this store or company to anyone. I will try to dissuade anyone I know from coming here. Do better, Safelite. And stop stealing from your customers.
