SOLD A USED ITEM AS NEW. Stood in line for 20 min to make a 60 second purchase bc the only “parts person” was helping someone else pick out a toilet. I’m thinking she could have directed him to that section and rung us up then went to help him? Or one of the 4 other people standing around doing absolutely nothing could have walked him over there? Got the item home and it’s obviously used and damaged. Called to let them know we received a used item and told we could come back in and repeat this wonderful process? The gal that helped us very nice but after this hassle we will definitely shop elsewhere from now on.

Initial salesperson was very helpful in providing information about a camper we were interested from out of state. Provided his cell number and was sending videos. The closing process was not great as they required signing at another dealership who provided different information. The finance person I interacted with during closing fraudulently completed a pre-authorized payment form (that I had previously signed and left blank) and submitted to the bank. This was done to get a better rate but is not the legal way to process such paperwork. I corrected the information with the bank before any trouble ensued, thankfully and followed-up with the finance person and GM. Very happy with the camper though!

Just purchased our first camper from Camping World, Idaho Falls, sadly, I will not be coming back to purchase another camper from any Camping World. Our sales guy was awesome. However, after playing the back and forth "numbers game" for over an hour, they tried to sell me a "Let's go camping package" for $1,999. included in that was a $300 fee for "wash and detail cleaning" of the trailer before I take delivery, and additional nearly $400 for a technician to go through all the features of the trailer with me, and test the propane lines.... ABOSLUTLY ABSURD that I have to pay over $700 extra to have my new camper clean and presentable, and an explanation of the features before I leave with it. That should be standard practice for any dealer. and finally coming to an agreement on price, it was time to see the finance manager. After sitting around and waiting, and waiting, (over 2 hours) I finally get to see the Finance department. They sat me down and very fast and brief, explained so many options and extended warranties, that I had no clue what was what. Then being told, "I have a great 5-year warranty package you will love, and it only raises your monthly payment $2.00 a month. Never telling me a total price. Yes, shame on me for not asking, but they had me so confused after being at the dealership nearly 5 hours already, and they moved through the process so fast, that I could not keep up. Needless to say, after being shown the purchase price and financing "out the door" price of the camper, I started signing. Then tucked away toward the end, was the price I thought I was paying, and somewhat hidden was the additional $6k tacked onto my loan for warranty. Of this $6k was $1,999 for "paint and fabric protection", over $300 for roadside assistance, several hundred for "Tire protection", and a bunch of other crap, other then the $2,500 actual 5-year warranty on mechanical items . They are not very transparent in their "fees" and add on's and took full advantage of me being a first time camper buyer. I had not taken the camper off the lot yet, as I had to wait to go pick it up this weekend. I called back the next day (4 days before I picked up the camper) and asked them to remove all the extra crap they tried selling me on the warranty, and was told they can only take off the tire protection and roadside assistance. They said the other $1,999 for paint protection could not be refunded because they already applied the coating to the trailer. THEY LIED TO KEEP MY MONEY. They did not detail the trailer until Friday morning right before I came to pick it up, which means the paint protection had not yet been applied. In the end, be cautious when dealing with any dealer, but overall, I feel my entire experience with Camping World Idaho Falls was not very transparent, and I will never do business with any Camping world again, other than my warranty work until I can hopefully sell my trailer.
