I had my oil changed here last week and I have to say I was not impressed at all. When I first arrived I was greeted while they scanned in my car and asked what I wanted done. It was the only conversation I had the entire time I was there. Next, the guy helping me was having problems getting his computer to work after he asked for my name. I sat and watched him tear apart the wires and plug them back in for 15 minutes before he got someone to help him who fixed the problem in 10 seconds. This entire time he never even acknowledged I was there. No one ever said what they were doing to my car. When they were getting ready to put oil in I had to stop them to ask what oil it was they were using. When he answered me he looked at me like I was an idiot. I like to stop at these types of oil change places to get my lights checked and blinkers, tire pressure, and all of my filters. I did finally asked him to check my tire pressure or that wouldn't have gotten done. They didn't check my interior filter, lights, wiper blades, or anything else. I left with $125 bill and definitely didn't feel like I got what I paid for. I would have bought a cabin filter and wiper blades if he would have just asked. But I wasn't going to bring it up and pay him more money than I already did. I loved this place when it was Einstein's. I won't go back to any other Valvoline stations in the valley after this experience. My suggestion is you stay away from this place. There are two other oil change places within a few miles. They both have to be better than this was, and they certainlycouldn't be any worse.

I requested, and saw them put in, the synthetic blend oil, but when the invoice came (via e-mail) I saw that they had charged me for the full synthetic oil - $20 higher. And they installed a standard $10 oil filter, but up-charged me an additional $5 for a "premium" filter. Interestingly, the $25 total overcharge was the same amount on the promotional discount card that I had received in the mail, and was the only reason I had gone to them. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice? No thanks!

I would unfortunately give zero stars if I could. I own a construction and mitigation company, and my work truck is everything for me and my business. My truck has had 0 issues with a pristine and timely service record. I am very knowledgeable about mechanics, cars, and automotive repairs as my grandpa owned a mechanic shop. I typically do all my oil changes myself because I know I can trust myself, but in a pinch before going out of town for work I brought my truck to Valvoline the day prior. 150 miles into my long trip to Moscow, my truck began smoking and misfiring. With bad roads and bad weather I had no choice but to drive my truck to Moscow even with these issues. I took it to a mechanic in Moscow who did a visual inspection and noted that the valve cover gaskets were leaking and PCV valve had failed. The spark plugs were saturated in oil. Knowing what I do about mechanics, I replaced 4 spark plugs in the snow just to make it home safely. On my way back, I checked everything at a gas station as my truck was smoking the whole drive and noticed my oil was completely overfilled. Once I got back to town, I called Valvoline regarding these issues as I've had NO issues with this vehicle until this oil change. I was directed to customer care, and the first question I asked was how long this process would take as I rely on this truck for all of my business. They assured me if there was any fault on their part it would be covered and fixed. I filed a claim, then a day later they called saying they wanted to tow my truck to a mechanic, and I waited and waited and that call for a tow truck never came. The next day, I was called again and they wanted me to drive it to Valvoline, where they told me the oil was not overfilled. Even though my ASE certified mechanic locally had already seen the truck and verified it was overfilled. Valvoline knows this and is taking no accountability for their issue. If its not black and white, they will not pay for the damages they cause or even admit overfilling even with a certified mechanics sign off. Now we are looking at days later, still no resolution and I am now being told I have to figure this out myself, financially, during the holiday season and the week of Christmas, when my mechanic and myself knows that the overfilled oil is what saturated the spark plugs among other issues. That doesn't just 'happen'. Especially with a truck that ran completely fine the day prior to the oil change. Not to mention, Valvoline promised this would be a quick experience and now I am back at square one days later. I would NOT recommend you take your vehicle to Valvoline. If something goes wrong, they take no accountability for their mistakes and will leave you in a worse spot than before. I had thought about opening a fleet account at Valvoline for my business vehicles, but I will not be doing that now as they clearly cannot do an oil change properly. I am very disappointed and would advise you to use a better oil change company for your personal vehicles, or especially a fleet of vehicles that your company relies on. They have done nothing to help me other than delay my work for days and leave me back at square one.
