  The lady who check out my purchases this morning, January 22, 2026 at 4:10am, was the most impersonal, and rude employee I've ever come across at a Maverick store. She didn't speak one single word to me until there was a problem with the card reader machine. Even then, at that point, after swiping my card a second time, and trying to select the appropriate function, the machine still didn't work. I said to her "your machine isn't working." She still did not say a word to me. Reset the machine and I only knew that because I was then prompted again to run my card. I ran my card again and selected the appropriate function, I assumed that I was charged as it was still asking for payment for the remainder of my balance. So I then swiped my Maverick gift card for the remainder $1.67 that my coffee was supposed to be. Then and only then did she speak to me and say "you still owe $2 and some odd cents." I said "how was that possible I paid with another card the $12 for the four red bulls that I bought, and the coffee should have only been a $1.67. There was over $10 on my gift card." She said "well I don't know but that's what you owe." I said "so you're telling me that that took the entire balance of my gift card over $10." She says "yeah it took $10.41," in a snide way. I said "okay well can you refund that because that's my gift card?" She just kind of looked at me like I was stupid. I was irritated and said "you know what, whatever." I paid the remainder $2 something, grabbed my stuff, and left. She never offered me a receipt, she never said thank you for coming, as a matter of fact, she didn't even greet me when I walked in, and she was standing at the counter. The only customer in the entire place. She was very rude, unprofessional, and inappropriate. You should never make your guests feel like they are doing you a disservice by coming into your establishment. Ever! I couldn't even get the name of the cashier as her name tag was flipped around and just showed a barcode on the back. Apparently this is an ongoing issue where employees don't want to show their names. As seen in previous reviews. I worked in a convenience store for 10 years and never once did I not greet my customers when they came in and leave them some sort have a nice day on their way out. I will NO LONGER make my daily stop here. I will save my money and go to Pocatello, where I'm treated MUCH BETTER!
