  So the initial visit from the Safelite technician at my home did not go well at all. Back window replacement. The technician did not clean up all the old glass/seal before putting the new window on. Did not put the molding around the window before putting it in. Got globs of silicone on the side of my car. Broke one of the tabs off the new window so the rear defrost wouldn't work. However... Contacting customer service, they put me in touch with the manager, Joe, at the local Safelite shop in Waterloo. He was more than helpful, he saw photos from the original installation and immediately recognized the issues. Had my car in there the next day and they went above and beyond with service to make everything right, and they did a fantastic job. They were very forthcoming about what they found and delivered on the results I expected the first time. Fit and finish of the new glass and molding now looks original, very well done. Gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the original technician at my home deserved zero. That initial experience had me frustrated to deal with them again. BUT the local manager and shop deserves 5+ stars. I can't say enough about the quality and response of their customer service, and the final result of their work. Their service in this regard was fantastic and that's not something you find everywhere these days. I highly recommend their local shop and can't say enough good things about them.

  DO NOT GO HERE! If I could give zero stars I would. I had a scheduled appointment through my insurance to fix a crack in my windshield that was directly in the line of site of the driver’s view. I arrived on time, checked in at the front desk, and the attendant came out to take a look at the damage. He glanced at it, said that it had already been fixed and that there was absolutely nothing he could do about it. I explained to him that I’ve only owned this vehicle a couple months and this crack was not there before. He was extremely condescending telling me that I probably just didn’t notice it and that most people don’t. I insisted that something be done since it’s very obvious to the touch that there is still a rough divot in the glass, and it needs to be sealed, and with my insurance it’s completely covered for me to do so. He still refused stating that I should call my insurance if I want to replace my windshield, and then began instructing me on how to turn my insurance card over and call the phone number on the back as if I’m a complete imbecile. I remained in the parking lot while I got my insurance on the phone, and after explaining the situation to the agent, she called and spoke to this individual and he was extremely disrespectful to her as well! He refused to give a direct answer, any of her questions regarding the situation. Thankfully, I was able to go somewhere else and have the patch done. This individual clearly is not happy in his work and has absolutely no understanding of what customer service looks like. He has been reported on through my insurance, and I really hope action is taken against him for refusing to do his job.

  Carter did a great job with my vehicle. Communicated verify the appointment time and also called again to let us know that he was on the way. His work was complete and efficient. My windshield looks great, including all of the electronics that are attached to it. The online system of submitting my claim to insurance and scheduling a home repair was seamless. Wonderful experience.
