  Typical truck stop and convenience store. All the trucks there seemed to be of "normal size". NOTE: All of my reviews start at a baseline of Average (3 stars) and either improve or regress from the mean. For example, most franchises are the same wherever you go. They are cookie-cutter locations that are basically identical at every location (i.e. Applebee's and McDonald's). If something extraordinary is observed, the rating moves up or down.

  This is the 4th time I've eaten here and its the 4th time I've gotten sick. Taco bell twice, then Wendy's then the in-store restaurant. I've tried to give it chance but eating any prepared food here just isn't in my best interest anymore. Maybe it's me, or maybe it's the food. Everything else is amazing, but I'm only buying packaged food from here from now on.

  Ashley is prepping food with her hair hanging down loosely! Instead, ASHLEY should have her hair pulled back in a neat, tight ponytail. A hat or hair net wouldn't hurt either, to make sure any stray hairs don't fall into all of the surrounding food! That's just basic common sense for food handler's safety!! Disgusting!! That's just the very start of my experience with this place!!!

  My family and I drove 5.5 hours to visit this place after seeing an expose of it on YouTube. We all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The buffet menu was a bit sparse, but the items on it were very, very good! The staff was absolutely fantastic. They were very willing to answer questions and all service was done with a smile. Many thanks Halley in the restaurant for great service and a smile as pretty as her face. Be sure to visit the museum. It is a fantastic archive of early American automotive history.

  Iowa 80 Truck Stop Iowa 80 Truck Stop is on a completely different level. This place isn’t just a truck stop — it’s like a whole separate world built for drivers. The size is unbelievable. With parking for around 900 trucks, you can always find a spot to rest, no matter what time you arrive. That alone already makes life easier on the road. Everything you need is here. Clean showers, great food, plenty of space to relax, and just a solid atmosphere overall. Whether you want to grab a proper meal, take a break, or just reset your mind after a long drive — this place has it all. The staff are very friendly and respectful. You don’t feel rushed or treated like just another truck — they actually treat you like a human being. That matters a lot out here. What really stands out is how comfortable and organized everything feels despite the size. It’s busy, but it works. You can tell this place is built with drivers in mind. Honestly, if you’re driving through Iowa and you need a real stop — not just fuel, but rest, food, and recovery — this is the place. Highly recommended. One of the best truck stops in the country, no doubt.
