This was my second visit to a Maverik since the switch from Kum and Go, and I’ve noticed a drop in customer service. I walked up to the counter to pay and the staff member was texting on her phone. She didn’t look up or acknowledge me until I asked if the register was open. Even then, she stayed on her phone and just said yes. It felt pretty dismissive and not very friendly. This visit was on April 12, 2026 around 6:45 PM.

Stopped here on the way back from Iowa City. Clean restrooms, tasty snack & drink items and courteous staff at the register. Spacious, clean parking lot, a few picnic tables to enjoy a quick lunch outside and I believe a Subway attached to the east side of the building. Parking spaces were just a tad narrow/close to other parked cars. I didn't purchase fuel, but prices were easily 45 cents cheaper than when I got back into Illinois.
