  Restroom hand dryer blows the water onto the upper part of your pants. Soap dispenser was empty. All gas dispensers are parking lot style (pull in, back out).

  To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally express my frustration with the level of service at the Maverik gas station in downtown Iowa City. Unfortunately, my experiences there have been consistently disappointing and reflect a serious lack of professionalism and customer care. On multiple occasions, employees have failed to acknowledge customers during checkout. There is little to no greeting, eye contact, or basic communication—most of the time staff are sitting on their phones, appearing disengaged and uninterested in assisting customers. This creates an unwelcoming and neglectful atmosphere. Additionally, the store is frequently inaccessible. The front door is often locked during normal business hours, with a handwritten sign stating that the employee is in the bathroom. This happens multiple times a day, every day. There have even been instances where no sign is posted at all, leaving customers confused and waiting outside. I have personally waited in the parking lot for nearly 30 minutes just to be able to enter the store. The overall environment feels poorly managed, disorganized, and lacking basic standards of accountability. As a paying customer, I expect at least minimal courtesy and reliability, both of which are currently missing. I hope this issue is taken seriously and that steps are taken to improve staffing behavior, customer service, and general store operations. Sincerely, Unsatisfied customer

  This store is starting to improve. The interm manager Debbie is getting things in shape . She says she has a ways to go, but I can see and appreciate what she had done . I don't mind stopping here now .
