FULL OF SCAMMERS!! DO NOT COME HERE!! Some of the worst service experience Ive received in my life. The
INTOXALOCK staff and CORPORATE are not here to help YOU. They’re full of incompetent scammers that just want to drain you financially and affect your situation. You definitely don’t “BREATH EASY”. Although I was being compliant, due to their lack of communication with client and DMV, I ended up getting suspended without me knowing. They finally acknowledged their wrong doing. Even offered me to reinstall my equipment for another 6 months (free of charge). They asked me to give out my financial information, said no payment would process, just needed something on file otherwise I couldn’t enroll, as in if I was being manipulated. The last couple of months, they have been charging me and over drafting one of my accounts without them telling me. They’re very sneaky. CORPORATE employee ISAIS is avoiding emails and calls. The only way they’ll get ahold of me is if you leave a 1 start and horrible review for them to care enough to reach out. Dont go through what I’m going through. FIND different options. Incompetent Corporate and staff needs to be fired. YOURE NOT THEIR PRIORITY.
Frequently Asked Questions About Intoxalock Ignition Interlock
How does an interlock device work?
An ignition interlock device (IID) is a small breathalyzer installed in your vehicle to prevent it from starting if alcohol is detected on your breath. Before driving, you'll blow into the device. If your breath alcohol concentration (BrAC) is below the programmed limit, the car starts. Periodic retests occur during your trip to ensure continued compliance. To read more on Intoxalock, you can read our ignition interlock device guide.
What is the cost of an ignition interlock device?
The installation of an ignition interlock device, often called a car breathalyzer, typically costs between $70 and $150. This one-time fee is paid at the start of your lease and covers the service center's labor to install the device in your vehicle. Payment is made directly to the service center at the time of installation. For more on cost breakdowns, you can read our cost of ignition interlock device guide.
How do I use my interlock device?
Using an IID is simple. To start your vehicle, blow into the device as directed. If the device detects no alcohol, your car will start. You may be prompted for "rolling retests" while driving, where you’ll blow into the device again to confirm compliance. How-to videos are also available on the Intoxalock mobile app.

What happens if I fail a breath test on my ignition interlock device?

Depending on your state’s regulations, multiple failed tests may trigger additional penalties, such as lockouts or reporting to your monitoring authority. Intoxalock devices allow you to retest after a short wait if alcohol is no longer detected. Always follow your state’s guidelines to remain compliant.
