I stopped in to pick up a rental car that had already been arranged through my insurance, only to be told I owed a balance from a rental over four years ago—also set up through insurance. I was fully prepared to pay it and resolve the issue, but was informed this location cannot accept payments for that balance. I was given three different phone numbers to call, all of which led to the same automated voicemail stating they are only available Monday–Friday. There was no option to make a payment, no workaround, and no solution offered. It’s surprising that a company that operates rentals on weekends has no way to process a simple payment outside of weekday hours. After already dealing with a breakdown on the side of the interstate, filing an insurance claim, and walking 20 minutes in the cold to get to this location, I ultimately left with no car and had to walk back home in the cold. The staff and customer service line were unable to help at all. This experience added unnecessary stress to an already difficult situation. Very disappointing customer service and lack of support.

The people are really friendly, the car is ready on time and is in good condition. In a couple of instances where I rented at home and drove out to Des Moines and had a problem with the car, they helped me without even batting an eyelash and it isn't even their rental. Communication is excellent.

This experience has made me hesitant to return to Enterprise in the future.
