Very friendly, fast and affordable!!! I am referring to the actual service center! The actual Intoxalock company is a different story! I feel like most of the reviews showing up are for Intoxalock they are definitely negative stars! I should not have to pay $75 every time their device locks me out for no fault of my own! I stopped drinking when I was in trouble for drinking almost 2 years ago! I was recently locked out due to having car issues ans we couldn't figure out why for a month and the last time some how my auto start on my car started without my knowledge and now I need to pay again! So ridiculous!!! Rate the service center when it says click here for review, that's what it's for not Intoxalock! This service center is the best in town!!!

I am only 8 months into having this device and both the device and their support network are horrible. I have had issues in both the summer AND winter getting it to function properly. If I am holding up my end of the bargain and paying the $80 dollars a month is more than they told me they would charge thanks to hidden fees, so why arent they giving me functional equipment?? I have been late to both work and my college classes thanks to this device and last night after I got off of work I was stuck outside in sub-zero temperature for almost 20 minutes because the device decided it did not want to work, so I was on hold trying to get in touch with someone in the freezing desperately trying unplugging and plugging it back in and any measure that I could think of. I called again this morning about the issue and was told to "wrap the device in a warm towel or even Mitt at night" WHAT IN THE BACKWOODS INCOMPETENT COMPANY KIND OF RESPONSE IS THAT?!? Their solution when presented with an issue with the function of their device is to tell their customers who are paying their paychecks to macgyver a solution instead of addressing the problem. In fact their support is so bad that I have called 5 times so far, once I was told to fenagle a solution on my own, three times the reps told me that they did not know what to do, and one time I admittedly got one very helpful and knowledgable associate who helped me solve my problem. Additionally I have had an issue where if I park too close to a retest then my car will honk at me. That's right, my car that is parked without the key and locked with no one in it will cause mr public embarrassment because it was too close to a retest, I hadnt missed any retests, I was just close to one coming up. This company doesnt care about you or your life. I strongly suggest looking into different companies

These people rape you on fees and charges!!! It's 71.64 per month, plus an intial fee... then they charge almost $80 to set up your deinstall when they aren't even the ones doing the work... all they are doing is making a phone call! Then they charge for recalibration of units and even though you set up a deinstall, you still have to call them to close your account. It's bad enough that you have to use the device in the first place!! Totally my fault and my doing, but again... OWI is expensive enough and this company way over charges!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND

Frequently Asked Questions About Intoxalock Ignition Interlock

How does an interlock device work?

An ignition interlock device (IID) is a small breathalyzer installed in your vehicle to prevent it from starting if alcohol is detected on your breath. Before driving, you'll blow into the device. If your breath alcohol concentration (BrAC) is below the programmed limit, the car starts. Periodic retests occur during your trip to ensure continued compliance. What is the cost of an ignition interlock device?

The installation of an ignition interlock device, often called a car breathalyzer, typically costs between $70 and $150. This one-time fee is paid at the start of your lease and covers the service center's labor to install the device in your vehicle. Payment is made directly to the service center at the time of installation. For more on cost breakdowns, you can read our cost of ignition interlock device guide.
