- SSShy_Gun670Mar 9, 20265.0Great QuikTrip here in Ankeny, IA. The store is located off I-35 and you’ll know when you see the tall QT sign from 1st Street. When I came, the store was very nice & clean. I like QuikTrip stores, as they are always consistent, no matter how old they are. The interiors of QT’s are always very modern, no matter what the buildings look like from the exterior. There were plenty of roller grill items on the rollers. There was a small variety of some different types of Donuts. When it came to the fountain, I was shocked to find 2 new sodas I’ve never seen before on a fountain. What are those 2 you ask? Cherry Vanilla Coke & Sprite Lymonade. This store features QT Kitchens, which is, where the hot food thats not roller dogs comes from. There was a little bit of hot food in the warmers. I grabbed a Large (40oz) fountain drink, a slice of pepperoni pizza, and a chocolate donut with sprinkles. The pepperoni pizza was pretty tasty and so was the donut. The staff here are very nice & friendly. Please note the road here outside of the store is pretty busy, but at the end of the day, it’s a great place to get gas or get some food for a trip or gasrun. The employees just stood there and stared at me. Even when I went inside to buy water and antiseptic, no one asked if I was okay. They just stared more.
