On our last oil change I was told we needed a new cabin filter so I said I would buy one and the supervisor said if you get one and you can pay us to put it on! Well my new oil change came up and we took the filter in and they installed it, but the issue I have is the previous oil change my “check engine light is on and it wasn’t before and our blower for our heater now works it had something to do with the cabin filter. It now works as it should but the check engine light is still on!

Cashiers are very upfront and will tell you exactly what services they believe you will actually need and won’t try to upsell you on other services. I know this is not a universal expectation. But from what I’ve experienced the last few times I’ve been there. I’ve always been impressed. Matt especially did an excellent job with my last visit. He gave me an estimate estimated timeframe and broke down why each service would require x amount of time, and did his best to get me out of there within that timeframe.

Since it was already in and I was short on time, I had them go ahead and do the oil and filter change, which they were willing to do with the oil and filter I brought with me. Quick, friendly, professional service!

Was told to wait in the lobby and someone would meet me in there. 20 minutes later I walked out to the shop and asked if someone was going to come and explain the pricing BEFORE starting services. I was told they’d be with me in a moment. Another 5-10 minutes later and they come in with my air filter. I asked if they could not start the oil change BEFORE pricing and the woman stated they hadn’t. As I looked outside I explained to her there’s oil coming out of my car and your person literally has my oil filter out of the car. If I hadn’t wanted to pay the outrageous prices there what would they have done? We had no written or verbal agreement to pricing or anything. Finally when trying to upsell me the salesperson had 0 knowledge of anything. Tried to sell me an air filter they didn’t have in stock, they didn’t have a price for, nor an ETA of when it would be in. They told me several recommendations but left no notes for me on what they were. So now I don’t even think there was anything else wrong with my vehicle. Wanted my tires rotated but before I could ask she removed the items from ticket. Finally when cashing me out there was a surprise $10 “miscellaneous shop fee”. The problem isn’t the price the problem is the lack of communication and professionalism. It took 7 people 30 minutes to do my oil change. Lastly while waiting a customer came up and stated they charged her for the oil change but did not perform it. The person outside confirmed that which obviously made me more worrisome. This is my wife’s car and I work out of town. The Jiffy Lubes where I’m from made me think I could trust this one and that is just not the case.
