  Love the "skip the counter" feature. I was able to pick up the car and be on my way in less than 5 minutes. The Alamo staff members were very courteous, professional, and efficient. The rental price of the SUV was very reasonable. And there were no surprise charges when I returned the car. The amount I paid was the exact amount originally quoted.

  Rented a convertible. Prepaid. Arrived at scheduled time only to find 50 people ahead of me and no cars. They called up 1 lady only to tell her she was next. She had waited over 1.5 hours. And she was going to get what was turned in next. Went next door to Hertz. Rented a convertible left in 15 min. Went to Alamo cancelled with them. They decided to mark me as a no show. Working on getting a refund. Would not recommend

  I scheduled our pick-up for a rental car over a week in advance to arrive and be told that there was no vehicles available due to a recall. They stated that we would have a vehicle by that night or the next day, but they would keep up with they communication. They shuttled us to our hotel which was nice. However, the next morning we heard nothing. No updates. We called the phone number that appeared on Google when we searched the location and were told that we could head over to pick up vehicle. When we arrived they told us they had no vehicle for us. They immediately started asking who we talked to and the name of the person and told us we called the "call center". In the end they went to the back to look for a vehicle and found us a jeep. It made me feel like they were more worried about giving out a more "expensive" vehicle than providing good customer service. Additionally, more communication would have been nice as we were promised we would hear something but didn't. This also made me feel that they did not care if we had a vehicle or not when we spent a lot of money to enjoy our vacation. I would hesitate to rent for Alamo in the future since in order to explore Kauai a car is necessary.

  This place is horribly managed. We arrived with a confirmed reservation, only to be told there were no cars available because of a Jeep recall—which I can understand happens. However, the way the situation was handled was unacceptable.They offered to pay for an Uber or taxi to our hotel and promised a car would be delivered the next morning. The next day, we heard nothing from them. When we called, they said they were still out of cars. We kept checking throughout the day, but there was no update or proactive communication. Later that afternoon, they claimed we should have come back to the airport to wait for cars—something they never told us earlier. Had we known, we wouldn’t have wasted the entire day waiting for a car that never arrived. In the end, they told us we could either keep waiting or cancel and find another company, which we ultimately did. This entire situation could have been prevented if they had simply emailed customers in advance about the recall or trained their staff to communicate honestly and clearly. The lack of transparency, accountability, and basic problem-solving was astounding. This company might be fine when everything goes smoothly, but when there’s even a small issue, their customer service completely falls apart.

  Well in the past I've had some bad experiences with rental car check ins and drop offs on my Google reviews; that said this was my best rental car experience ever. Normally rental car service employees are difficult to deal with; definitely not here! Their rental car employees were friendly and pleasant! They showed me a row of cars and said "pick one". We were out of the lot in less than 5 minutes after the shuttle dropped us off! The car worked great, and no overcharges! Highly reccomend!
