  Appreciated the upgrade from SUV Full to SUV Luxury. The ease of checkin and checkout was super quick process. Mostly we appreciated the ability to check the vehicle back in 2 hours later than scheduled at no additional charge. Gave us that flexibility. Well done!!

  We had a huge disappointment when we arrived here. They were out of rental cars, not only this company but all of them (arrived Saturday evening). There was a wait list of 21 people waiting for cars. We had toddler with us and couldn't wait after a 15+ hr travel day. The staff, especially Tyler, helped us out, saved us, and completely made this snafu a non issue for us. We were immediately shuttled to our resort and the rental was delivered to us first thing in the morning. Such great and amazing service. They also removed a day from our rental cost and followed up with a call to make sure we were ok! Recently we switched from enterprise to national and are so happy we did. We usually get screwed by enterprise one way or another. I want to thank Tyler and his team. We have not had such great customer service before around such an issue. The professional way we were handled was perfect. I know there had to have been a lot of grumpy people that day! Thanks for insuring we didn't miss a beat on our vacation!

  If you can help it, don’t park under a coconut tree in Kona, HI! But if you have no choice and that’s the only space you have, it would be helpful if you purchased the LDW and SLP coverages. We suspect that a coconut fell on our car rental windshield, cracking it on the passenger side. Drivers side was not affected. We called National RAC in Kona and they offered to bring another car to us or we could bring the damaged car to them. We chose to bring the car back to the airport. When we arrived, they were friendly, courteous, took our statement of what happened, had us check out the new car we were going to drive and we were on our way in about a half an hour! Something so random but I’m glad we took the coverage. We asked what would have happened if we didn’t have the coverage. We would have had to wait for National RAC to bring their person in to assess the damage and depending on the circumstances, we would work with National’s people and our insurance company back on Oahu. So I think it would have amounted to more paperwork, more time spent waiting at National RAC Kona airport and less time relaxing, not to mention the reminder of dealing with our insurance company when we got back home! I don’t like paying the extra money for the insurance, but for convenience and less hassle, I will.

  National Car rental is the easiest and most convenient car rental company I have rented from and I've rented a lot! Used to travel for work. I continue with National b/c the ease and clarity from the reservation process, to selecting the car (Emerald club, use it), to the return is consistent. Every National Car rental location I have been at, the people are very professional and polite, kind and upbeat. Traveling is enough work, getting a car should always be easy. It is with National.
