From the start, I am back on the mainland working at a repair shop and my dad called me for advice on what to do after getting rear ended, I reached out to Gerber and instantly knew by the way Nicole greeted me over the phone, to the compassion and kindness, to helping get my dad fixed up and the repairs were perfect. Thank you for going above and beyond for my dad. Especially with intaking his truck when he came back to the mainland to visit us! If you want somewhere that you can truly trust, please call this shop. I was seriously blown away with Nicole on her own and then to see the quality of work performed by the techs, it matched perfectly. The body work was done perfectly along with the paint. Reading some of the other reviews, I couldn’t believe the negativity. Working in automotive there’s a huge issue with parts but being a professional in the industry, I’m telling you Gerber truly is the best shop on the big island and if you want your vehicle, Or a family members vehicle, truly taken care of, contact this AMAZING shop!

Our vehicle was there for repairs for over two months, even though we were told all parts had been ordered a month before we dropped it off. The original damage included the rear passenger door, a ripped tire, and a damaged running board. Throughout the repair, we called multiple times for updates. Each time, we were told some version of: “You’re not the only customer and it will take as long as it takes.” When we finally picked up the truck, we found the interior full of roaches, the right turn signal was rapidly blinking and triggering an error message, a loose passenger door stopper, straightened but still the old running board with a promise it would be “replaced later” because they “received the wrong part and are waiting for the correct one.” No one followed up with us at any point. In summary: excessive delays, poor communication and incomplete repairs. I cannot recommend this shop based on our experience.
