Our flight into big island was delayed and the airline lost our suitcases, but our experience at Enterprise made our trip much better. I called the general reservations hotline to let them know I had to arrive by more than a day late, not expecting much to be done by the branch as it was peak season in Hawaii and they were within their right to cancel my reservation. Megan went out of her way to respond to my email and honored my reservation with the car type I reserved (a Jeep AWD, which was very difficult to book during peak season). Car rentals can often be stressful when branches run out of cars / charge a reservation and then not honor them / you run into rude staff - so really wanted to give people the credit they deserve when the experience is positive!

- WKW KDec 12, 20255.0Enterprise/National is always my go to car rental on the big island. I have made many trips here and tried all the National brand rental companies. I honestly have never had any issues with the any of the vehicles, but the biggest difference to me is the processing time to get your vehicle when you arrive and when you depart. Enterprise is always well staffed and can get you into your vehicle with little delay. This is in contrast to others that I have wasted up to a full hour waiting in line. I have always used Costco for my vehicle reservation so I always get a reasonable price on the specific vehicle category that I want. Also much appreciated is that I don’t experience a hard upsell on extra insurance, etc. Also the return process is fast and fair and generous on the timeframes.
