Alamo provided an NO up charge, upgrade from a mid-size rental (that wasn’t available) to a convertible mustang when on a work trip to Hawaii. Thanks for making the trip extra special.

Absolutely, without a doubt the most efficient, well-run rental location I've done business with. I went from the shuttle to my car in less than five minutes. Drop-off was similarly easy. Huge contrast from some other locations. Highly recommend! Mahalo!

Everything was easy and seamless. We found the shuttle, took a short ride, greeted at the counter with a friendly agent, and directed to our car quickly. The car met all of our needs and when we returned it, we had the same great service.
This was the worst car rental experiences we’ve ever had. The minivan we got had a serious cockroach problem—completely unacceptable and disgusting.
We had to stop at Home Depot to buy traps, Our whole family was grossed out the entire time. And this is serious health concern since most people rent minivans have kids….
We’ve rented from many companies and never experienced anything like this. I would not rent from here again. We have a couple more day left, already caught 4 with the trap, I’m going to post the photo on our last day…

I am absolutely furious with my experience at Alamo. Before arriving, I called and was clearly told that the location would remain open two hours past closing — until 1:00 AM. Trusting that information, we arrived at 11:30 PM… only to find the office completely closed.
We were left stranded in the middle of nowhere in Kona, Hawaii, late at night, with no car, no assistance, and no accountability. It was stressful, unsafe, and completely unacceptable — especially after being explicitly reassured over the phone.
Thankfully, Budget was still open, and we were able to rent a car from them, but it cost significantly more and added unnecessary stress at the very start of our vacation.
Alamo showed zero responsibility or care for their customers in this situation. This experience completely ruined our arrival and left a lasting negative impression. I will never rent from them again — and I strongly caution others to think twice before relying on their promises.
